Seeing you at the crossroads took me down the memory lane

My heart skipped a beat, did I still feel that sweet pain?

The glitter in your eyes, the charming smile were just the same

All of a sudden standstill everything around became

We weren’t the best of friends, but a bond we shared

Wanting to be around you was something that I always craved

Your every small act I would notice, be it silly, be it a prank

You had clear plans on what you wanted, wish I also could have been a bit more frank

The last day of the high school we parted ways

On my scrapbook you showered so much praise

I had so much to express but did not know where to start?

Is self confidence such a tough art?

At the crossroads today, I again bid you goodbyes

The feelings are the same, if you could only see those in my eyes
